Custom bedhead with built-in floating side tables

Designed in consultation with our clients of exceptional taste and an instinct for quality, this custom bedhead unit channels our obsession with mid century design.

Characterised by elegant curves and a rich cognac finish, the headboard is designed to enhance and complement an inner city apartment already oozing mid-century sophistication. Flush inset drawer pulls, hidden wall fixings, a subtle bevel on the cabinet faces, and smooth slides crafted in all timber allow the fullest expression to the style’s clean lines.

Side tables are secured from behind while the bedhead itself is fixed flush to the wall and rests on the skirting behind, enabling a seamless floating appearance.

Dimensioned perfectly for a bed of generous height and limited wall space, the headboard nestles next to existing American walnut finished built in robes in a complementary but distinctly Australian shade. 

Made from salvaged Tasmanian Oak, treated with natural stain and finished with hardwax oil, the piece is as sustainable as it is elegant.
