Custom Display Unit

Our friends at Mali Bakes know a thing or two about great design and their bespoke celebration cakes exude the same sense of fun that we like to instil in neuf custom pieces. So when they came to us looking for a custom shelving unit to showcase some of their wares, and to fit perfectly over an existing mirror in their cake studio, we couldn’t have been keener.

The resultant asymmetric design neatly gels with Mali Bake’s sense of joy and creative expression, while the combination of fixed and adjustable shelving enables them to cater for their ever evolving product range. Concealed shelf supports and mirror backing lend the piece a seamless elegance and depth even on its limited footprint.

Channeling a little Mondrian through subtle asymmetrical geometry, the unit references the bold colour that is central to Mali Bakes’ culinary creations whilst being built entirely from the same Merbeau panels that feature throughout the studio space.
