Perfect as a bedside table or living room side table, this deceptively simple looking side table brings what we like to call industrial cuisenaire flair (yes, we made that up) to any space.

What at first glance appears to be a box with sharp, light filtering cutouts, on closer inspection proves to be an intricate pattern of ply strips creating a bold and playful statement in plywood cabinetry.

The piece celebrates and harnesses the structural qualities of its material by turning the ply edge to the face, upending other conventions along the way: clean modernist lines give way to complexity and randomness, intensive labour displaces machined indifference, and hey, it just looks good.
